Kate Hires a Nanny
Kate hopes she can find a well-qualified nanny to take care of the sextuplets and twins.

Oh man...after the maid episode, I can only imagine what this is going to be like.

Kate was looking for a nanny to help her out for about 10 hours a week. At this point in time, Kate realized that she needed another pair of eyes to help her out. So she went to nannies4hire, which is an online agency that provides nannies. I think she went through this agency because Dr. Phil provided them with a free year of service. Funny how that was never mentioned.

On the day Kate was going to meet the potential nannies, the kids were just having complete meltdowns. This is probably the common place in the house, though. Everyone was fighting and screaming and even Cara got sent to time out. Yikes!

The interview process was interesting. Candy from the agency was screening the applicants and Kate was able to watch the interview from another location. I didn't really like that they showed the candidate and Kate's snarky remarks on each person. Not very nice.

It was funny to hear Jon say that he wants a nanny that loves the kids and gets along with Kate. Ain't that the truth. Of course that makes her angry. More than likely because it's true.

While Kate was out interviewing, Jon was home hanging out with the kids. The little kids were playing outside, riding bikes and stuff. And Mady and Cara were making up dances. I remember doing that when I was their age. Oh how I wanted a twin sister. The kids seemed to be a bit cranky and Jon's right, they probably needed a nap. And who knows, they might have just been having a bad day.

A was one of the girls who seemed to be a good fit for the family and Kate even agreed. She had worked at a daycare. The downside was that she had seen the show. Kate was concerned that she had seen the show. She was hoping to find someone who had never heard of them. That is so contradictory - she obviously wants the show to do well but wants someone who's basically lived in a cave for the past few years, too. Okie dokie, lady.

In order to assess whether A would be a good fit for them, Kate had her come over and play with the kids for the afternoon. Unfortunately, Hannah got sick and had to go to the doctor. So Kate scheduled her friend Carla to come over for a bit and then have A finish up her visit with the family. Everything seemed so peaceful because A only really played with the 3 little girls for awhile. When the boys got up, it was a controlled chaos and they kids seemed to be behaving. Kate seemed disappointed that there weren't any meltdowns to see how A would react. While I understand her motives, it seems kind of weird.

It turned out that A didn't really fit in with the family. Kate didn't think she was comfortable with the cameras (completely understandable). And she seemed like she wasn't really super firm with the kids. But let's face it, most babysitters aren't as firm as the parents...because they aren't the parents!

A few days later, Kate found another candidate, Sarah, but the only time she could interview her was at night during dinner. She seems really nice and up to the task. She got to interact with the kids and everything seems great with them all.

SassySarah's Review: I didn't really think this episode was all the great. Kate was kind of mean at some points to people she didn't even know. One thumb down.
