The Gosselin children learn about the story of Adam and Eve by watching an interactive play at the Sight and Sound Theatre.

This episode looks like it has the potential to be fun. A family outing is always good for some fun.

Jon and Kate start arguing about whether the upstairs room is considered to be Alexis's room. The kids insist that it is not her room because she sleeps in the basement. This is a different explanation than before, though. They originally said that she sleeps downstairs because she wakes everyone up in the early morning. Now they're saying that she sleeps down their by choice because she likes the dark. I don't know any parents that would be okay with their child sleeping in the basement alone. God forbid there be a fire or something.

Getting the kids ready to go is always a chore. They have to get the kids dressed and their hair done. Kate has to get all their juice cups ready to go. And it's exhausting. lol

The play they would be seeing was the book of Genesis, which includes how God created the earth and the story of Adam and Eve. It looks like it would a good show and something that the kids would understand. The lady that offered them tickets met up with them in the parking lot and helped them get into the theater.

As they walked into the theater, they passed the gift shop and the owner said that each kid could pick a stuffed animal. The last time they were there, she offered the same thing but Kate puts a restriction on the animals because they can overtake your life. She accepts freebies of all sorts for herself, but apparently doesn't pass that on to her kids. Nice.

Everyone gets ushered into their seats and Kate tells us that they don't predetermine seats at these things. They just let the kids sit wherever. Well I guess I don't care who sits with who.

Kate recalls that Leah processed the play for a few days and decided that God made Adam out of the mulch. Instead of the dust of the earth, she saw mulch. So cute.

At intermission, Jon and Jenny, who tagged along, for a potty break. What a nightmare that would be. I hate waiting in line at adult events, can you imagine what the bathroom looked like after a million kids traipsed through there?

After the show was over, the family got to go on the stage and meet all the animals involved. They got to climb all over the set and interact with a dog, some skunks, a horse, and some birds. It looked like they enjoyed the up close and personal view of the animals.

Then came the stuffed animal choosing. Leah chose a panda. And they determined that all of Leah's stuffed animals are black and white. She only picks those. I love seeing how kids think because it's so funny. Collin chose a bear blanket to go with his duck and bear. Joel got a mommy penguin with a baby so he could have 2 things. Cara got a pig, because she loves pigs and both Cara and Jon want a pig. Aaden chose a cute dinosaur. Hannah got a lamb and named him Bunny. Mady chose a skunk. Alexis had trouble picking and couldn't figure out waht she wanted. But she ended up with an alligator!

When they got home, the kids were playing around with their new toys and fighting broke out when Collin started sucking on Hannah's lamb. It looks like a territorial thing. It made Hannah mad and he got sent in to time-out. When Hannah complains to Kate, she tells the girl that boys are gross and to stay away from them. Nice. Way to say that about your own kids.

The episode ends with Jon *finally* asking Kate what she needs. She can hardly believe her ears and she thinks that this is the best thing ever. She seriously believes that he does nothing and this is the best day ever. Really, Kate. He does nothing.

Jon and Kate seem really happy and are telling us all the kids love to travel and that they are having fun together. And Kate is thankful for the blessings that come to them. Knowing that in later episodes, she acts horribly entitled and nasty, this was nice to see.

SassySarah's Review: The family had a fun day out and behaved rather well. The kids were cute and seemed happy. Even Mady and Cara. Two thumbs up for a successful outing.
