Jon & Kate Plus 8 - Leah and Joel

Jon and Kate take Leah to a place where she can tumble, jump, and fall; Jon takes Joel to an interactive museum.

I'm super excited to see these kids gets some one on one time with their parents. I think it's just what they need to feel special in a large group of kids.

When they had 8 kids, Jon and Kate realized that it would be important to spend individual time with each kid. So they decided to have special days for each of the kids. These days would be spent doing something the kid would like.

Kate found Bounce U, which has a ton of inflatable things inside, which seemed suited towards Leah, who she described as a ball of energy. When Jon and Kate took Leah out, the rest of the little kids got to spend some time at Aunt Jodi's house.

The kids quickly realize how much fun they are going to have at Aunt Jodi's. They each got a stick to make a lollipop with. It looked like they were having as much fun making the sucker as they were eating it! When they were done making candy, they all played dress up. The popular costume that day was a duck costume that everyone played in for awhile. Hannah *loved* playing dress up and changed about 20 times. So cute. I remember how much I loved doing that when I was little.

Leah's the youngest girl. She's a cute little peanut and had such a doll face. Jon and Kate know that she's cute and say that she uses it to her advantage. She's closest to Mady and Hannah and is such a good speaker.

Once at Bounce U, Jon takes Leah down this large inflatable slide. They go down it numerous time and she laughs the entire time. So adorable. Everytime they went down, Leah would want to do it again.

They realized there were more things to do, Jon and Kate each picked up large boxing gloves and started boxing each other. Leah looked like she really enjoyed having time by herself with her parents, too. The poor thing was so tiny and had a blast going through an obstacle course. But when Jon and Kate were bouncing, she could barely keep her footing and fell down when the vibrations got too big for her.

Of course, Leah couldn't stay away from the slide, and *loved* going down all by herself. She would run up the stairs and slide down as fast as she could. When she took a potty break, Jon found a jousting suit. Each person would put a suit on and you'd try to knock the head off your opponent. While Jon had the suit on, he scared Leah when she was trying to find him. Kate refused to play with the jousting suit because other people sweated in there - and I can't blame her. That's just gross.

It was so nice to see how special Leah felt during the day. And she ended the day with a special shirt from Bounce U!

Next we got ready for Joel's special day. Jon took Joel to Hands on House, while Kate stayed home with the rest of the kids. She claims it's because she doesn't drive "hither, thither, and yon." Which is sad that she can't be there for her boys. I'm sure they want her at their special days, too.

Joel is the youngest Gosselin kid. He's super sweet and is into fashion and style like Jon. He does get super whiny when he doesn't get what he wants. But he's just so adorable. He gets along with everyone but Collin. For some reason, those 2 just don't get along.

Hands on House was an interactive museum for little kids. There were tons of things for him to do there. He did some farming - he picked corn and distributed it to the market. He got to drive a huge tractor and then got to buy stuff at a local grocery store. He was so adorable and asked a million questions. Everything he encountered, he asked what it was. So cute to see his little mind working. His favorite place was dress up. Leah told us that he loves to dress up. He seemed happy to tell us that he got to wear a space suit. I have to say, at some points of the day, Jon looks like he's getting bored, but Joel never tires and eats up the whole day.

Back at home, the kids were hanging out at home. The boys played downstairs, while the girls played upstairs with Kate. At lunch time, the kids were fooling around and laughing hysterically at Aaden burping. Everytime he did it, all the other kids would laugh. It is kind of cute, but at the same time, gross. But knowing those kids, it's cute.

At the end of the episode, Kate tells us that they're going to do these special days with each of the kids until they leave home. Which is a great idea. Because one on one time with your parents is priceless. I love it.
