Jon & Kate Plus 8 - Carpeting the House

Carpeting the House
In order to increase their home's value, Jon and Kate decide to re-carpet most of the house in one week.

Kate explains that the family decided to re-carpet the house after the kids were potty trained. Which kind of confuses me. Did the kids pee and poop on it before they used the bathroom consistently? I don't really get why they had to wait so long.

Since they're house is so cramped, Jon explains that they have to do one room per day because they don't have the room to move the furniture around. Kate doesn't like having everything all out of order.

The living room was first and we see Jon moving the majority of the furniture by himself. Because Kate was off doing something really important...getting her hair done. Jon tells her he doesn't like it but doesn't go as far to say that the reverse mullet thing she's got going on blows. When Kate comes back from her important appointment, she bitches and grunts through moving of the furniture.

Jeff, the carpet man, gets the living room done in record time. Jon gets all the furniture back in place before the Queen can start complaining. In a preview, we see that he doesn't get the bedroom furniture back as quickly.

During the commercial break, I start to wonder how this particular episode interests everyone. Because I'm starting to get kind of bored.

Upon return, Kate starts to clean out her bedroom while Jon explains that everything is out of sorts because all their items are out of place and that some of them are sick.

Here's how the remainder of the carpet part goes...Jon and Kate move the furniture out of a room. Jeff installs the carpet. Jon moves the furniture back. The only snafu happens when Kate decides to rearrange their bedroom. It appears to be late at night and he stands up to her for once. (And oh, did she cringe when he did.) After back and forth, it's decided that the furniture won't fit and therefore the room is put back together. See...Jon. Stand up to her. You'll win every time.

Of course, the re-carpeting isn't for just the family. It's because they want to move into a larger house. The truth comes out! So instead of keeping parts of life to themselves, the family brings the camera crew to see some properties.

Before Jon and Kate look at anymore mansions, they drop (dump?) Alexis and Joel off at Beth's house. They don't really explain why they dropped 2 kids off for *a few* days, but whatever.

Having only 4 kids, Jon and Kate go to another house. They love the land, but seem to hate the house. But at this point, they realize that it's not reasonable to have the house demolished and rebuilt to their own personal standards.

Poor Collin and Aaden were super sick and were placed in underwear on the floor in the playroom. Poor guys. I'm sure all they wanted to do was lay in their bed with Mommy comforting them. Since their bedroom was being re-carpeted, they were put to bed on the cold, unfriendly basement floor.
