Jon & Kate Plus 8 - All Aboard

All Aboard
Jon and Kate take the kids to see Thomas the Tank Engine.

~*~

Everyone's heading to Strasburg Railroad to check out Thomas the Train. It's the usual mayhem in the morning trying to get everyone ready to leave. Kate was trying to get breakfast ready, but the kids were more interested in looking at the their caterpillars who are hatching into butterflies.

Before they leave, Kate lectures Cara and Mady about their behavior. They don't seem very happy to be going to to the railroad but since it's a family activity, everyone's going. Collin was super excited to show off the trains to all his brothers and sisters, because he went there on his special day.

When the family got to the railroad, they found out that it was packed full of people. Kate wasn't too happy that they had to navigate through the crowds. What? They didn't close the exhibit down for the Gosselin family? They did make it through and got to see Thomas and get on his train for a ride. The train was restored to make sure it looked like it's original condition.

The train ride seemed fun. And despite all the people that were at the exhibit, the Gosselins did get their own train car. So that must have been why Kate didn't melt down. There was a concern because the kids could just lean their heads out the window and if they got out far enough, they probably could have fallen out! They did manage to get through the ride without any major meltdowns. Phew!

After the train ride, the family got to get their picture taken in front of Thomas. Kate, being the stellar parent, managed to have a family picture taken, minus Joel. How do you forget a kid? Oy. Right after the family picture, Mother of the Year gets frustrated because Alexis started crying when her pants started to fall down. Why she couldn't stop to help her is beyond me. And why Alexis couldn't do it herself is kind of alarming. I mean I know the kids are in nice clothes because they are out in public, but it's like their afraid of doing anything to their outfits.

The kids got to go on a mini-steam engine that was for kids rides. The best part of the episode was Kate standing there trying to get into a car and none of her kids wanting to ride with her. Telling, isn't it?

Finally, it was time to head home. Everyone got herded back to the car and bucked in. Of course, no one wanted to be in their car seat and just wnated some food.

The day ended with Mady and Cara chasing everyone around with their waterbottle fans that sprayed some mist. Everyone was laughing and seemed to have a fun day.

SassySarah's Review: This was a boring episode. The kids seemed cute, but I wasn't really that excited by this one. No thumbs up for down.
