Jon and Kate take the kids for their first visit at the new house.
The kids are excited to see their new house for the first time. Jon and Kate were planning on heading to the house, opening the doors, and letting the kids run free. Before the leave, Kate's getting Leah's hair brushed and Leah asks how many dollars the new house costs. Kate responds lots and lots and that's why moms and dads go to work every day. Normally that's true, but in this case, Kate's living off the kids.
When the family arrived at the new house, apparently Leah got breathless and said thank you. Somehow I don't know that this is the truth. A 4 year old has no concept of these things. Once inside, the kids seem excited to start exploring.
Cara and Mady seemed happy that their room gave them a little bit of a separation from their little brothers and sisters, which is nice. I can understand not wanting to do what they do all the time. Leah and Alexis were planning on sharing a room, Hannah (the favorite) was getting her own room, and the 3 boys would share another room. And the girls wouldn't have to share a bathroom with the "dirty" boys anymore. Kate does an excellent job of pitting her kids against each other.
Kate gets upset that she and Jon no longer have privacy, so the kids are only allowed in their parents room this one day and then they can never come in there again. Kate threatens that they can't come in and they'll be punished if the kids come into their room. How nice. I always liked going into my parents' room when I needed something.
Jon took the kids outside so everyone could get a look around and check out the backyard. The kids got a kick out of looking around the horse stable. While Jon was doing this, Kate was picking out paint colors with Cara and Mady. They both seemed excited to have a new room that's painted blue.
While Kate was cleaning, one of the kids called for Kate and apparently the house is so large that she wasn't able to find her child. How nice. She can't find her own kids? How awful is that. She ignores the child that called for her and started on her 4 hour cleaning spree of the fridge. Which was a complete waste of time. Because she purchased a new stainless steel fridge. How incredibly insulting to the previous owners, who didn't really leave the fridge in bad shape. Kate just complained about it.
The kids had a pizza party for lunch and seemed happy to relax for a few minutes. While they were eating lunch, Kate looked out her kitchen window at her dominion and declared it all hers. Of course, she wasn't paying any attention to her kids and missed the fact that Mady was kicking Alexis.
Back on the couch, Kate complains some more about how long it took her to clean the fridge, but it'll be worth it to be in the house. At this point, I tuned out to her ramblings.
SassySarah's Review: Boring. The kids weren't really watched at all and Kate just wanted to show off how much money she has now. One thumb down.
