Jon and Kate travel to Los Angeles to see a hair-transplant specialist.

I think I might throw up in my mouth a little during this episode. How is this relevant?

It's crazy early in the morning and Jon tells us that he and Kate are heading to LA so he can have hair transplants. He's doing it for Kate because she misses his full head of hair. It doesn't seem like Jon cares, but Kate doesn't want him to look old and aging. So really this is for her vanity. How nice.

Aunt Jodi and Uncle Kevin are going to be watching the kids while Jon and Kate are away. And they have 4 kids of their own, so there's going to be 12 kids there. Yikes. And to top things off, all of the Gosselin kids are super sick. So what's a parent to do? Leave for vain reasons, of course.

Jon and Kate arrived safely and met the doctor. Jon had to work through a questionnaire and Kate wouldn't even let him do that in peace. She spent the entire time bothering him and told him to hurry it up and stop poking around. She's so nice.

The doctor gave Jon a once over and checked out his hair. He put this thing on Jon's head and could see how much hair he had in his head. It was kind of a cool thing to be able to see his hair on the screen too. Next, Jon and the doctor talked about about where he wanted his hair to be. Of course, Kate jumped in and told him what *she* wanted. And when the doctor asked who wears the pants, Kate told him that Jon does, of course. Riiiight.

Back at home, the kids were so incredibly sick. Every single one of them were coughing like crazy and just looked pitiful. I have no idea how in the world those parents left their kids. Aunt Jodi seemed to have it all under control and was so nice with the kids. The house seemed chaotic with all those kids but the seemed to have it working well. Certainly better than if Kate had 4 extra kids dumped on her.

It's time for Jon's procedure to start and he first got some numbing agent and laughing gas to relax him a bit. Then they could start the transplant. Since I thought it was gross to watch, I'm going to fast forward through it so I don't have to watch it again. Basically, they took some of the hair out of the back of his head and put it into the front of his head. If you really want to know what happened...look it up on YouTube.

Everyone at home is still plugging along. Uncle Kevin decided that this was now Cheaper by the Dozen. Oy. During dinner, Kate called home to say hi to the kids. Kate went on to say that she calls home once a day because if she calls home more than that, the kids start to get whiny and want her to come home. She doesn't want to deal with it, so she doesn't call often. Um, that's not very nice.

Joel was still really sick during this time and appeared to be still in the throwing up phase of his sickness. Aunt Jodi was so nice to him and helped him out. But the poor kid. At least Jodi was comforting him. The last time Joel was sick, Kate made him sleep on the cold laundry room floor.

One of the jobs Uncle Kevin had was to empty the little potties. Apparently they let the urine sit in there all day and empty them once a day. So I'm sure that was a super gross smelling and extremely dirty. That was evident based on the coughing and gagging. Ew. How come the kids are still going in those plastic ones? How come they can't just use the regular toilets? Can't they wait in line like the rest of us learn to do? I'm surprised Kate puts up with the "yittle" potties.

Jon's surgery is *finally* over. (Thank goodness because I can't handle this blood and guts.) The doctor explains some stuff to Kate and Jon's still kind of out of it from the pain meds. Jon insists that he wants to wear his knit hat. But due to the surgery, he couldn't wear the knit hat, but rather the baseball hat. By the time Jon met Kate in the lobby, he had put the knit hat on by himself. So funny. He clearly had no idea what he was doing.

Of course, Kate was not at all patient with him or understanding of the fact that he's still out of it. And even on the couch interview, he says he has no recollection of what's going on. For somewhere that's definitely been out of it from the pain meds, she's unforgiving.

Before Jon and Kate head home, they stop in with the doctor for one final check. Poor Jon can't even see the doctor without Kate badering the nurses and asking a million questions. She did have to learn how to clean the wound and such.

The next day, everyone's feeling a lot better and is ready to play outside a little bit. Thank goodness everyone's more healthy. The kids are running around outside, riding bikes, taking walks, and playing with chalk on the driveway.

The last part of the episode is showing Kate pulling out Jon's staples. Kate, wanting to get it done, sits Jon down at the kitchen tables while the kids were eating, and pulled all them all out. Gross. And to top it off, Kate bitched at him the entire time. Yikes. She'd make an horrible nurse. Can you imagine having her take care of you? Alexis was so cute asking Jon if he was okay. Aww.

SassySarah's Review: This was a disgunting episode. I didn't need to see that blood and hair or the greed evidenced here. It was a terrible parenting decision to dump your sick kids on someone else. Two thumbs down.
