Discipline
Jon and Kate offer parenting tips as they look back on their experiences with eight children.

Um, I'm kind of scared. I have *no* idea what these people are going to say about discipline...consider their kids beat on each other all. the. time. It's going to be interesting.

Kate says that they just do whatever they can and do the best they can at the time. So for this episode, they're going to look back and talk about each kid. Hmm...this should be good.

Stay A Step Ahead
Since they know what pushes each other's buttons, they try to avoid letting the kids get into those situations. The most common offense is hitting and stealing other people's clothes. But since there's so many more kids than parents, it's often hard to figure out what is exactly happening. Cute tape of the doorknob freakout and each of the kids blaming someone else for the offense mentioned.

Time Out
Each of the kids have to be responsible for their own actions and take the consequences. So they send the kids to time out. The kids know where time out is in each of the rooms. So at any time, all of kids know exactly where to go. And if they scream and cry in the corner, they have to sit there longer. Once they've fulfilled their obligation, they have to apologize to their brother/sister and hug/kiss. The all hate it, but it's probably a good idea to make them apologize. The kids get put into the interview chair and determine that Alexis spends the most time there. Alexis seems super proud of it too. haha

Cara
Cara's challenge is that she's not the most open person to talk about her feelings. She likes to hold things up inside and then flood them out all at once. And when she melts down, everything that's bothered her for the last year, comes out. Cara is a good kid and Kate realizes that they should reward her for being a good kid.

Mady
Mady doesn't like all the noise in the house and still doesn't like that she's got sextuplets for siblings. The show has definitely highlighted some of Mady's meltdowns and I think she just needs some more personal attention. Kate reiterates that they can't give up on her and have to keep loving her through it all.

Work As A Team
The most common thing is letting the kids divide the parents. But the parents have to stand together and be a united front. Kate realizes that they fight in front of the kids, but should stop that. They also realize that stern looks will work wonders. If I got the stink eye from Kate, I'd behave. Oy. Jon and Kate realize that they never yelled when they were a family of 4, but now they yell just so someone can hear them. When they first became parents, Kate was overdisciplined and Jon was underdisciplined, so now they're happy they've come together. Aw...group hug.

Schedule, Schedule, Schedule
It's important for the kids to stay on a schedule to keep some order in the house and to keep everything running smoothly. There's no surprises, either, because everyone knows what to expect.

Aaden
Aaden's an easy kid, but has trouble with communication. He doesn't really respond to discipline and can't answer why he did something. He kind of shuts down when asked what's going on.

Collin
Collin is very stubborn and would rather take a punishment and still do what he wants to do. He's generally an easy kid. And super loving.

Joel
Joel's secret defense is his glazed over look. He totally knows what's going on but he lets his face glaze over and pretends not to know what someone's saying to him.

Hear Them Out
Jon's good at listening to the kids and having heart to hearts, but isn't good hearing over their whining. But Kate's good at disciphering what the kids want immediately.

Alexis
Alexis is so loving and easy, but when she's tired or hungry, she just completely melts down. Everytime you buckle her into her car seat, she asks to get out to pee, even if she doesn't have to. She's easy to talk down. Her screeching is her method to get the attention she needs. And simple solutions make her happy.

Hannah
Hannah's very mature, so you can talk to her rationally. But with the maturity comes a mature attitude. She's got Cara and Mady's attitude which is definitely annoying. And will be problematic in the future.

Leah
Leah is super smart and communicative, but has a secret weapon: vomit. If she doesn't get what she wants, she'll make herself vomit. It's happen accidentally a few times, but most of the time she coughs and coughs to make herself sick. Now she knows that she has to wear a vomited outfit if she does it now. Gross. Who makes their kids wear vomit covered clothes all day?

All You Need Is Love
Since both Jon and Kate are dedicated and love their family, they think they'll make it. Because at the end of the day, when you're nice to each other, it makes a difference. So they vow to listen to each of their kids more and put them first.

SassySarah's Review: This episode seems like a bunch of garbage. No one cares about their disciplining of the kids or enjoys how they're calling each kid out. Two thumbs down.
