Jon and Kate put some final touches on their new house to make it their own. New washers and dryers, a fresh coat of paint, and a re-tiled floor should do the trick.

Kate can barely contain herself because today's the day that her washers and dryers were arriving. I guess I don't understand why she didn't bring her old ones with her. They were the super nice front load ones...it would have been cheaper to just move the old ones. But since Kate was getting the new Whirlpool Duets for free, why would she turn them down?

The delivery men arrive at to bring all of the appliances over and at the same time, Bart, came over to paint and fix up the house. The man gets two feet inside and Kate yells that we don't wear shoes in the house. He looks like he was just slapped and apologizes, and Kate tells him that it's for the kids. Are we believing this?

During the moving of the new Whirlpool Duets inside, Kate stood guard to ensure that nothing got scratched. Jon got the kids ready for outside and sent them to explore outside. This was probably a good idea because then they wouldn't be underfoot while there was the bringing in of things.

In addition to the washers and dryers, Kate was also receiving a new dishwasher. She claims the old one is "ugly" but then corrects herself to say that it just didn't fit her needs. Her need for matchy matchy? Because that dishwasher matched the cabinets. And I thought it looked nice. Plus, stainless steel shows tons of fingerprints and I think there's definitely an abundance of those in her house. But since Kate wants a new dishwasher, then Kate's going to get one.

When the men unwrapped the microwave, Kate gets excited to see that it's stainless steel, as well. Didn't you pick it out? Most people have some sort of control over those things. The massive microwave gets put away, as Jon tells us that he likes the new microwave, because that's how he cooks. Kate reprimands him and says that he doesn't cook, but rather he just reheats. Potato, Potatoh.

Now that all the free appliances have been installed, Jon and Kate head to the tile store so they can redo the basement floor. Kate oohs and aahhs over all of the tiles and tries to convince Jon to get a dark gray tile. Jon insists that it won't match the floor and they end up picking 2 different samples to try out. On the interview couch, Jon and Kate bicker about whose style is better. Of course, when they get home, it turns out that Jon's choice was chosen. And he gloated a little bit. Which made Kate pissy that he was right and she was wrong.

Kate has decided that she doesn't like the color of the basement. So she hired Bart to do some painting. But before he starts painting seriously, Kate thought it would be a good idea for the kids to paint on the walls themselves. I see this would be cute but all the makings of a disaster. Especially because we know she can't handle the kids getting messy.

Jon and Kate line the kids up, give them some paint, and tell them to go to town. The kids seem have fun doing this and went to town painting. Collin was painting like crazy. He's spots were super organized and all together. There were only a few mishaps. Some drips got on the trim, but that's as to be expected. Even for adults. There weren't any serious meltdowns. Well...except for Kate. She grabbed a roller and started to paint a small area. Of course, she hit the trim and got paint on it. She screeched and then realized that she just did exactly what she told the kids not to do.

After painting, Kate rushes the kids to the nearest bathroom to get all of the paint off of them. The kids kind of complain about the scrubbing that has to be done, but are anxious to get clean. It's as though they know if they're dirty, their mom is going to be mad at them. Unfortunately, it's probably true.

Coloring was next for these kids. Each of them got this giant piece of paper with a treehouse on it. I wonder if this is the treehouse that Mady wondered about in another episode. Wouldn't be a surprise. Poor Aaden got ridiculed by Hannah, who says that he scribbled everywhere and wasn't very neat. Rarr. The claws come out even at age 4.

The episode ends with Kate bitching out Jon for interrupting her. When really that's all she does to him. It was difficult to see her badger him like that.
