The Gosselins buy half a cow; Jon and Kate take the kids to a nearby organic farm.
Jon explains that everyone is heading to an organic farm to pick up the beef they ordered. The family is eating more and more, so Kate hopes that a half a cow is enough for the family for the year. Before they leave for the day, Kate finishes packing up lunch for everyone and Jon loads it into the car.
The family got to the farm and unloaded everyone out of the car. The kids were a little unsure about seeing all the farmland to run around but eventually seemed comfortable to run. After a few minutes of running around, everyone got on a tractor for a ride around the property. The kids seemed thrilled to get on the tractor.
The tractor's first stop was at a chicken coup. The kids got off and got to feed them. It was so cute seeing them take handfuls of food and throw it at the chickens. Everyone really had a fun time and seemed to love having all the chickens come out.
The next stop was seeing all the cows the farm raised. And one of the bonuses was seeing all the calves, which were adorable. Babies are so cute - both human and animal! The day ended with a horse-drawn carriage ride. It looked a little rickety but I'm sure that's how it was in the olden days.
Kate stopped into the store, paid for all of their meat, and bought some organic treats. And then it was time to head home.
