Babies and Bedrooms - Part 2
Jon puts finishing touches on the twins' new room and the sextuplets' new beds.

The attic room is finally finished with drywall and Jon's ready to paint it. So Kate's brother-in-law volunteered to come over and help paint. Unfortunately, the painting is going to require Jon's attention all day, so Kate will be with the kids all day without his help.Jon puts finishing touches on the twins' new room and the sextuplets' new beds.

While Jon's upstairs painting, Kate's got all the kids in the garage playing and she's working on cleaning out their shoe bin. The kids are causing some bedlam because they want to hang out with their dad but he's busy. Joel started crying for Jon and Kate banished him to the time out stair. In a rather mean way.
During the painting process, Mady and Cara were wandering around from their new room to the rest of the house. And by doing this, they dragged the drywall dust throughout the house. So Kate banished them downstairs. Of course, the girls wanted to be in their new room and Kate demanded that they go outside and help her watch the little kids.
Ashley, Carla's daughter, came over to help Kate watch the kids. She claims she so exhausted, so she had to have Ashley come over. So what does Kate do? She sits in a plastic lawn chair while Ashley plaid with the kids in the sprinkler in the yard. The kids seem to have a blast when they have someone who actually plays with them, instead of their mom, who just sits there. I think all parents are tired, but they get up and play with their kids.
Lunch was the usual madness with all the kids yelling for food and drinks at the same time. Oy...I'm sure it gets super loud in there.
Now that Cara and Mady's room is painted, Jon's ready to get the little kids' new beds all set up. But that's a set of bunk beds and a trundle for each room. That's a lot of beds. Clearly, bed assembly wasn't super easy, because the kids were running all around and Kate was bothering Jon during the process, too. The poor guy just couldn't work in peace!
Jon wanted to get the beds done but Kate told him to stop so they could take a nap. Kate claims that they do the same routine every day and the kids couldn't go downstairs for a nap. Or even skip naptime. Considering how bad she wants these beds done, I say skip nap or have the kids all hang out in one room. I don't really like how Kate talked to the kids before nap because she wants a break. I didn't realize *that* was what nap was for.
The beds were *finally* done and everyone got in them and is ready for bed. The kids seemed thrilled to have their new beds and more space to run around.
SassySarah's Review: Kate acted like a spoiled brat the entire episode while people were doing things for her. One thumb down.
