Bam! 100th Episode
Chef Emeril Lagasse visits the Gosselin home to give the entire family cooking lessons in celebration of their show's 100th episode; the children create a meal.

Kate: Whoever lands in the interview chair will do the interview.
Translation: We don't want to tell people that we're already separated and just filming together.
The family met Emeril in an elevator and he wanted to come cook with the family. So for the 100th episode, he decided to come over and cook a special meal. They were going to make green been casserole, chili mac, and granola.
The first thing Emeril did was to show the kids how to snip beans. Of course, Kate made them stop and wash their hands first. Which was good, but she couldn't have prepped it before they started all of this? After the hand washing, everyone seemed to enjoy snipping beans.
Emeril asks Jon to toast some oats in the oven and Kate makes a snide remark and asks him if he even knows where the oven is. She then offers to point him in the right direction. How sweet. After that, he turned into the garlic prep guy. Jon peeled garlic for 4 hours. lol
I was lunch time and the kids got the usual: bits of food. Since their parents were busy with Emeril, the kids amused themselves by making fake beards with their turkey. It was funny. They probably aren't used to being able to play with their food.
It was not time to start making chili mac. It looked like it was chili and macaroni and cheese. Sounds like it would be good - we put chili powder in our macaroni and cheese.
During the cooking, the boys were playing and tried to make the crew close their eyes and look the other way. And after thier opened their eyes, Collin produced 2 stuffed animals. It was cute and so something a little kids would do.
Because he's Emeril, he was able to make 3 or 4 different things all at the same time. There's no way I could ever do it. Emeril also seemed to take over the kitchen, which completely unnerved Kate. The camera can't come past the island and Emeril encouraged them to come over.
Perhaps the most frustrating moment of the day was when Jon was finishing up the oatmeal. Kate didn't think that Jon was doing it right and Emeril told her to leave him alone. Of course she didn't appreciate his scolding, so she hit him on the arm (a love hit) with her spatula. It was funny when Jon yelled "Bam", but Kate probably should have left him alone. He was there to cook for her. And she couldn't even be a tiny bit grateful? The episode clearly wasn't complete until she swatted him a second time.
Emeril asked Jon how he survived 100 eps and he said he didn't know. Perhaps the most telling part of the entire show. lol
So cute - Collin realized that some of the spices they were cooking with had Emeril's face on it. Adorable.
After everything was all done, it was finally time to eat. So everyone (bibs and all) sat down and ate a big family meel at the table. The kids seemed like they were having fun and liked the food.
The show ended with a montage of scenes from the 100 episodes.
SassySarah's Review: I love Emeril and he definitely tolerated Kate's bitchiness. But seriously she couldn't have been nicer? One thumb down.
