For Better or Worse
After nine years of marriage and their unique life together as parents of multiples, Kate and Jon renew their wedding vows during a ceremony in Hawaii.

The Gosselins are at the Grand Wailea in Maui, Hawaii. After a few days of fun in the ocean and the pool, it's finally time for the main event.

Jon and Kate met with the wedding coordinator and the chef to pick out to final details of the ceremony and receptions. They start out with tasting some cakes and picking out their dinner menu. Of course, the kids were not unsupervised, but rather wandering around the hotel grounds with Jenny. It's snack time and not every is super excited with the options. Alexis gets mad that she can't have a whole string cheese and throws the half she's given on the ground and walks away. Yikes.

Next, the family headed to the chapel for the rehearsal. Kate told the wedding coordinator that Mady was going to be her maid of honor (which greatly disturbed her) and Cara was going to be the best girl for Jon. The rest of the ceremony was walked through with the coordinator and the family. The kids really had no idea what was going on and really had more fun meandering around the chapel.

Kate took all the girls to the spa to get a pedicure. The little girls were so excited to get little robes on and headed into the spa. All of them had a blast picking out their own nail polish color and then headed into the main room to soak their feet. The girls looked adorable getting pampered and showing everything off to their mom.

Meanwhile, Jon headed to the parking lot to meet up with the family that came in for the ceremony. They all seemed sort of excited to see him. Although I have to say that their interactions were kind of forced. As in they don't know them at all and just showed up for the day.

It's finally the wedding day and Jon's getting the boys ready for the big day. They're getting into their adorable wedding clothes and seem excited to "get married." In the meantime, Kate and the girls were heading to the salon to get their hair done. The girls did a good job of sitting still and seemed excited to get their hair curled. Kate had her hair and makeup done and it actually turned out okay. They all looked so cute and seemed happy with how it turned out.

After everyone's hair was finished, the girls got dressed and finished getting ready. While they were finishing up, Jon hung out with his family. It seemed like he enjoyed getting to know them.

Jon finally headed down to the wedding site and stepped into a circle of flowers. It looked really beautiful and I hope that one day I'll get to Hawaii one day. Back at the chapel, Kate was lecturing the kids on behavior during the wedding. None of the kids seemed to be paying attention and at this point, it really kind of seemed like a crap shoot.

It's finally the wedding ceremony and Kate and children processed down the aisle towards Jon. The kids looked adorable, holding each other's hands and standing by their parents. The vow renewal happened and the kids, as predicted, didn't pay attention and did whatever they wanted. It did seem strange that the kids weren't behaving during this time, but whatever. Jon and Kate read each other some vows. Jon's seemed really heartfelt and genuine. I think Kate definitely tries to make it genuine but it did kind of sound fake. Maybe it's because this trip seems kind of fake. At the end of the ceremony, the kids were supposed to give their parents leis. Since Kate ordered the half to give to her and half to give to Jon, they got confused and just gave it to the nearest parent.

At this point in the ceremony, I'm looking at a family of 10 who have absolutely beautiful and healthy children. They are incredibly priviledged to be able to have this opportunity. There are people in the world who can't afford to have kids and here they are with 8 gorgeous ones. It makes me sad to see them exploiting their kids on tv for money but even more so, sad that they don't realize how blessed they are with these kids. I think some times they take them for granted. I hope they realize how lucky they are.

The rest of the night was spent with dinner, dancing, and good music. The kids seemed to be having fun and enjoying themselves. I have to say that the reception seemed small - there were only like 30 people there max. And by the end of the first dance, there were hardly any family left. But I have to say that the family didn't seem to care and just had fun dancing together.

I hope that Jon and Kate do stay together. Their kids deserve to have 2 present parents.

SassySarah's Review: It was a beautiful ceremony and makes me want to jet off to Hawaii to marry Paul right now. But since I'm realistic and no one will pay for it, I know it's not going to happen anytime soon. I can admit that the wedding was okay and they did seem to be happy without any major meltdowns. One thumb up.
