Housekeeper Hunt
Kate tries to find someone to help with the cleaning.

It's early in the morning and Kate is trying to sweep up the crumbs in the dining room. Although it's hard for her to get it done with all the kids trying to get into the room. Kate says she realizes that it's become too much for her. Three times a day, Kate mops the wooden floor, wipes the table, and wipes down the chairs. Then she wipes the counters, wipes down the stove, and washes out the sink. Even though Cara and Mady will help her clean up, it's not enough for her.

On a side note, Kate keeps the house cleaner than mine and I have no children. I definitely think it's definitely to the obsessive point because I have some crumbs on my counter and I know there are better things I could do with my time.

So Kate decided to get a housekeeper. She first interviewed a cleaning service. Kate tells the ladies that she's a germophobe (noted) and that she definitely has high standards. While she's doing this, the kids are having a grand 'ol time ripping the basement apart.

The first housekeeper seemed willing to give it a try but Kate was hesitant because of the language barrier. And since Kate has *so* many barriers in her life, she wasn't sure how this would work out. Ugh. What a bunch of crap.

Kate must have decided it wasn't going to work for her, so she set up another interview. And during the interview, Kate admitted that she wasn't going to be fun to work for. She takes the woman down to the basement and shows her that she wants dusting taken care of in the basement. Apparently she doesn't expect the cleaning lady to pick up the kids' toys. That's shocking.

Kate's last interview was a bit more difficult because the kids were completely melting down and wanting mom's attention. The housekeeper took a look at the list that Kate made of requirements and announced that she can't wash the floor on her hands and knees. I can kind of understand that.

After all the cleaning people were gone, Kate had to give the kids their breathing treatments. Poor babies. It didn't look very fun at all but they were troopers about keeping the masks on their faces.

It's Valentine's Day and Jon and Kate are heading out to dinner. Aunt Jodi came by to pick up Cara and Mady for the night. The girls seemed excited to spend the night somewhere else. Nanny Joan headed over to watch the little kids. But before they could leave, Kate melted down and demanded that Jon come help her clean up. Jon and Kate finally headed out the door to their nice dinner. Of course, while they were at home, the kids did their usual thing and caused a mess. Hannah threw up and every single one of the kids ran over to tell her that something was on the floor. Too funny. Nothing goes by them.

After all the interviews, Kate finally hired the first housekeeper. When she arrived, Kate gave her a list of what to do and they ended up having a bit of a language barrier. After the instruction giving, Kate ran upstairs to get the kids up from naptime and found that Hannah pooped in her diaper and had poop all over her. Leah was adorable saying that Hannah pooped in her unnerwears. Although, Kate then made the housekeeper clean the poop out of the bathroom tub. Gross.

The housekeeper really did a good job - she went through all the rooms and seemed to get a ton of work done. While she was working, Kate sat on her butt in the basement and announced that while she was hanging out, her house was being cleaned. Okay. Wasn't she supposed to just help Kate and not be her personal maid?

Kate announced that like anyone else, she followed behind the woman and found that she completely missed some areas. Like behind the hamper and when Kate took out all the books from under a bookshelf, she sighed and said that area had never been touched. Um...okay - how long was the woman there for?

In any case, Kate definitely showed her true colors when interviewing and going around after the cleaning lady.
