10 Little Pumpkins
Trying to remain calm and relaxed throughout the day, Jon and Kate take their eight children to pick pumpkins and apples.

It's time to get up from naps and go pumpkin picking. Jon explains that each of the kids are going to be able to go into the field and pick their own. But there is a lot to get done before they leave. Kate's in charge of getting everyone and everything ready and Jon's taking care of getting everything into the car. Getting everyone dressed before going was, as per usual, a chore. Mady didn't seem to like her outfit, but there doesn't seem to be any options for her.

Not everyone's happy to be at the pumpkin patch. The family gets loaded into a wagon for a hay ride to get to the pumpkin patch. When they get, the kids seem happy to find their own pumpkin. Unfortunately, Kate insists they get the ones that best resemble them...6 little pumpkins, 2 larger ones, a mommy sized one and a large one for daddy. Um, okay...how about you let the kids get what they want? Alexis couldn't decide and took them both! So cute.

After the pumpkins had been secured, the family headed to the orchard for some apple picking. All the kids seemed to have a fun time picking all the apples. Poor Cara melted down a little when she couldn't handle the basket on her own. And something I noticed about Kate...when the kids melt down, she sends them to Jon and refuses to deal with them herself. Kate herself kind of melted down when her camera wouldn't work. Oh and when the kids got dirty. But they were outside picking apples. Isn't that supposed to happen?

The farm had a corn maze and those are always fun to run through. Especially if you're little...I had fun and I'm an adult. During the running around, little Aaden slipped away. He didn't really get lost and laughed when Jon snuck up on him. His laugh was really funny.

On the way out, the kids got to ride in a mini tractor. Hannah didn't want to ride in the stinky tractor and Joel didn't want to sit down because he had pooped his diaper. So since Hannah's a little mommy, the sweet girl reached over to check his diaper. And poor Joel was so offended. So incredibly offended!

Once the ride started going, Jon realized that the tractor ride went by the family van. Kate freaked out and started screaming to him. And in her screaming and running, Hannah fell face first in the dirt. Nice lady.

Back at home, Jon set everything up for pumpkin carving. The kids went into the garage at a big table and just went to town. Everyone seemed to be having fun and liking the carving on their pumpkins. But in the middle of carving, Kate kind of freaked out and demanded that Jon help her clean up the entire operation. I don't really understand...there were no messy kids, everything seemed calm and controlled...she's crazy.
