The Gosselins pose for the front cover of the November issue of Good Housekeeping.
Good Housekeeping called and asked the Gosselins to be on the cover of their November cover. Unfortunately, since it's a cold weather shoot, the family has to wear more wintery clothes. But it's 80 degrees outside. So the kids were sweating to death wearing heavy clothes. And the fact that 23 people, plus the film crew, were milling around was making it worse.
Despite the heat, everyone started to get ready for the shoot. The props people were getting the back deck ready with fall like decorations. The kids were getting their outfits on and the adults were getting makeup on.
It was finally time for the picture and everyone got arranged on the deck for the picture. The picture process was just about to start and the photographer's lighting broke. It was fixed quickly and the picture taking commenced. By the time the pictures were rolling, kids were starting to melt down. It was finally over and Kate admitted that she wasn't paying attention to what the kids were doing. So a bunch of shots were taken without Cara smiling at all. Really, Kate? You didn't even make sure they were okay?
The second picture of the day was in the kitchen with all the kids working on a project. That picture shoot seemed to go a little better and everyone seemed thrilled that it was over.
The next day the family got carted off to the Good Housekeeping studio for the remaining part of the shoot. Upon arrival, the kids got a candy bar and seemed to bond with all of the people at the shoot. Those kids have no sense of stranger danger, do they.
Now that everyone's dressed and ready for the cover shoot, they all headed into the studio. Since there's only a small window where the magazine picture can be, everyone had to squeeze into the shoot. Of course, the kids didn't want to be there or pose for a long time, so not everyone was super happy about being there. So as a distraction, the Good Housekeeping people brought out a puppy for the kids to chase around. They all seemed happy to just play and not have to stand still.
After lunch, everyone had to head back into the studio for another attempt at a cover. No one wanted to be there, but a crew member broke out some hand puppets. The kids found her hilarious and they were able to get the coveted picture.
Now that it was all over, the family just turned up the music and danced around the studio. It seemed kind of strange that they ended this way, but if that's what they do, then it seems fun.
SassySarah's Review: How sad that Kate forces her kids to do stuff they don't want to. And it's clearly apparent in Cara and Mady. One thumb down.
