Jon & Kate Plus 8 - Baseball Game with Daddy

Baseball Game with Daddy
Jon takes Cara and the boys to see a baseball game while Kate stays home with the rest of the girls.

~*~

The episode starts with Jon breaking out a market stand for the girls. I think it's more of a bribe because he's taking the boys and Cara to the Phillies game that evening. And if it's not a bribe, then it's definitely more product placement.

When Jon and the boys get to the stadium, a nice lady from the Phillies greets them and bestows a ton of free stuff on them. They got rally towels and jerseys with their names on them. The boys are a little quiet and just seem okay to follow along with the crowd to the owners box with the Phillies owner's wife. How incredibly privileged these kids are.

The kids are obviously hungry, so Jon headed to the snack stand for some food. He starts out with chicken fingers, french fries, cracker jacks, hot dogs, peanuts, cheese fries and lemonade. All organic, I'm sure. While Jon explains all the stuff the kids are eating, Kate breaks out in song. Nice. Additionally she sat on the interview couch and berated Jon.

The kids seemed super excited to meet the Philly Fanatic (or however it's spelled). They ran over and hugged him so tightly. It was so cute. But then they started to get a little rough with the mascot.

After the game was over, everyone headed to the gift shop. Mady had requested a foam finger so Jon was determined to find one. Of course, they had to pick up stuff for the rest of the family, so they definitely walked out of there with a ton of crap.

Bellies full and free stuff collected, the kids got to head down to the field and run the bases. Kate asked a million mundane questions as if she didn't really care but just asked because she felt she had to. Weird. Aaden didn't really have fun running the bases because he got dirty. Kate really does brainwash those poor little ones.

No Gosselin outing would be complete without meeting one of the Phillies. So they got to hang out with Shane Victorino, one of the centerfielders. Jon seemed to have fun hanging with him and the kids looked kind of bored and wanted to go home.

It was finally time to go home and the kids were sleeping as soon as they hit the car.

SassySarah's Review: I am really kind of over seeing them get all this free stuff. It's kind of sick actually. One thumb down.
