Fuerza Bruta

Last night, the Hubster and I were given tickets to see Fuerza Bruta.  We had absolutely no idea what kind of show this was going to be, but we were looking forward to have a date night in New York.  So we left work at 5, took the train into the city, and were super excited to have a fun night together.

We headed towards the theater and when we wandered around Union Square and we saw there was a huge demonstration going on.  We thought at first it was part of the Occupy Movement, but instead we found out that we were caught up in the Million Hoodie March.  We ended up just going around them to walk around.

Aren't these flowers gorgeous?  Who would have though you'd see these in Midtown Manhattan?

We wandered around for awhile trying to find something yummy for dinner and settled on Vive la Crepe.  It was so so delicious!  I had an egg, gruyere, spinach, and ham crepe.  Paul had a chicken, tomato, spinach crepe.  Definitely a fun treat!

He might kill me for posting this picture, but I wanted to get an idea of how giant the crepes were!

The lights in the restaurant were so cute...they were old Kitchen-Aid beaters!

After dinner we headed into the theater for the show.  There is really no way to describe it.  It was really crazy and fun and artsy.  It was really interactive.  There were some acrobats, some dancing, people swimming in a giant pool above our heads.  It was so crazy.  You stand up the whole time and kind of walk around the room depending on where the performers are.  Sometimes they come in the crowd to dance, sometimes it's on the walls.  And there's these flashing lights that go along with it.  So indescribable.  But fun too.

All in all it was a really fun night.  We never do stuff like this (even though we continually say that we will).  And I never turn down a night to hang with my favorite guy!
