Crushing Loss

I heard this morning that my Grandpa's best friend passed away this morning.

We knew he had been diagnosed with cancer right after Thanksgiving, but were told that it was a small tumor in his abdomen. So his death 4 weeks later seem shocking.

Although it's been a year full of shocking and surprising events.

Grandpa's not taking the news well. He's spent the morning pacing around and crying. Something I haven't seen since right after we lost Grandma.

So for now, I'm sending a prayer out for Frank's family, especially his wife, MaryLou. Losing your spouse of over 50 years can't be easy. And a prayer for my Grandpa. Who has endured so many losses this year and that he can find comfort that Grandma and Frank are hanging out together.
